A general interest in art can be a healthy addition to the feel good factor in the office, and changing exhibitions of rented art will provide variety and stimulation. Employees can visit the gallery online and select their own paintings. It is also more cost effective than redecorating the work place.

I love to give advice to identify a suitable work of art to purchase or rent. I can do a site visit to assess the locations for art, to choose the suitability of size, style and subject of the painting. If this is not possible, I can gain a good insight of the location through photographs.

Rental

In addition to outright purchase, all paintings are available on a leased rental basis and can be changed every six months. The minimum rental period is 6 months, with 3 months notice in writing to terminate the contract thereafter. Rental payments are made quarterly in advance, with the first payment on delivery. The art on a rental contract can be purchased at any time. If this option is taken up within the first 6 months of the contract, two-thirds of the rental money paid is credited towards the purchase price. The advantages of rental include:

• Option to change works of art at the end of the minimum rental term.
• Flexible budgeting for expenditure on art to suit the client’s financial needs.
• The opportunity to become accustomed with the art before committing to purchase.
• Employees are able to purchase pictures from a rotating exhibition. Pictures are normally changed every 6 months.
• Monthly rental costs start at £100.

Short Term Hire

Works of art can be hired for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or 3 months under the Short Term Hire scheme. This is suitable for film and advertising companies, show flats and offices, marketing suites and set designers. All payment is in advance.

• 1 day: 5% of purchase value per day
• 1 week: 7% per week
• 1-5months: 15% per month
